My name is Hanna Hasso. I grew up watching my older sister play field hockey. My passion for the sport did not begin until I started playing myself in the 7th grade. I immediately fell in love with the game the minute I was on field myself. From that point I wanted to better my skills as a player taking every opportunity to do so. Soon after I realized how strong my passion was I knew I had to reach for my goal of playing on a college team. Freshman year of High School I began playing club field hockey in order to gain more knowledge and skills in the sport. With this opportunity I got to work with different teams and learned the value of sportsmanship and working together. The club has helped myself to grow immensely as an athlete and also as an individual. Field hockey has become a huge part of my life and who I am. It has helped me grow as a student because, I had to learn to perform in the classroom just as strong as I perform on the field. I am very goal based and ambitious. Having the goal to play field hockey on the highest level possible and reach further in my athletic and academic career pushes my passion to grow even further.
