My name is Sinceraty Alexander and I am a rising senior at Ossining High School. I initially began swimming when I was in first grade and my Mom decided it would be a good idea for me to learn how to swim. I naturally moved up in my swimming lessons very quickly, and shortly after I started, I was asked to be on the recreational swim team. I chose to join the swim team when I was in the fourth grade, and I worked hard in practice everyday so I could be moved into the fastest group. Eventually, in the eighth grade, I decided it was time for me to take my swimming to the next level, so I moved to my current club team, the BGCNW Marlins. I love swimming on this team and how swimming brings us together not just as teammates, but like a family. I've built an innumerable amount of important friendships and bonds with others because of swimming that I wouldn't trade for the world. Besides this, in my opinion, the best part about swimming is the feeling you get after you finally achieve your goal because you've been working so hard to reach it. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to keep bettering myself not only as a swimmer, but as a person. I hope that I am able to experience and be a part of a college swim team, and as a teammate, I would try my best to bring everyone together and create a family feeling again. I work extremely hard in my academics and my swimming, and I am excited to challenge myself, receive a higher education, and hopefully be a part of a college swim team.
