Being a 3 sport athlete can be tricky because sooner or later one must decide which sport they want to move forward with to further their talents. Never did I imagine, that playing soccer in middle school for a travel team, would lead me to be a kicker on a football team. The footwork I learned, I was able to transfer from the soccer field to the Scarsdale high school football field. I was astonished that when I tried out for the football team freshman year, I became the first 9th grader to be on varsity. This became an unpaved journey of dedication and commitment. I was the odd man out due to my age, and I had to learn to adapt to being with upperclassmen who have been friends and teammates for sometime. I realized my athletic career was about to take off and I had to become more responsible and work on building relationships with my teammates as well as, my coaches. I had to focus not only on my academics, but also carve out time to train and condition to play football. I learned that I am an individual who believes that what I do on the field is just as important, as how I behave off the field. I plan to continue to work hard to adapt to the challenges that lie ahead and look forward to the future of football.
