2011 HIghlightsPersonal Statement
I'm Alex Gakenheimer and I'm the starting placekicker for Charlotte Country Day School. I will surely provide a valuable kicking asset to our team, and bring forth a positive attitute. I will always be the first teamate in the weight room, on the field, or hitting the books, as I value hard work and being a leader in all aspects of life. I always bring a positive mental mindset to my kicking, schoolwork, and other abilities, which enables my success as a student-athlete. I'm looking for a school that is highly selective, and will continue to challenge my studies. The academic quality of a school is valued most in my decision, and as I do wish to play in the highest level possible, I will not sacrifice academics for a higher level of play. My goal wherever I kick is to eventually earn duties in all three disciplines; field goals, kick-offs, and punts.
