Benjamin Kraska '21 Recruiting Profile

I've grown up around basketball my whole life. Whether it was playing or watching, being apart of the sport has kept me living to this day. Giving me experiences that I'll hold for the rest of my life. Alaska has given opportunities for this sport, but I'm ready to expand the journey and go on to play at the next level of life. I love the process just as what comes along it. Putting the work on and off the court is something I am willing to do to achieve my goals. My coaches have told me I stand out athletically. My hard work ethic, team player mindset, and confidence on/off court are some of the traits I carry. Doing the little details such as help man, crashing boards, and creating opportunities for my teammates are things that are second nature to me. One of my strengths is having experience in all positions on the court. Whether it's point guard or posting down low, I give everything I have and will do what the coaches want. As a senior this year, being a leader is something I have experience with and will become for the lowerclassmen on my team. Working hard in practice and game, I play the role model for the ones will need the extra boost. Off the court however, I keep the same leader approach. Taking my goals and academics seriously, I averaged a 3.5 GPA and am currently holding a 4.0 GPA with this pandemic going on. I know school is the first step to becoming who I want to be, and that is why I take school just seriously as my game. I am ready to expand my journey for basketball and play at the next level.
