Jabari Friend '14 Recruiting Profile

I want to play basketball in college and in the NBA. I try to play basketball everyday. My parents built a 1/2 court in our backyard 3 years ago to give me a place to shoot around. I play in several leagues: JRNBA, CYO, and AAU. My personal website address is http://www.jabarifriend.com

I am interested in Communications and over spring break 2013, I took a class called Backpack Journalism, which was taught at Montgomery Community Television in Rockville, MD. I won a Monty Award in October 2013 for my video project.

I made the honor roll during the first marking period of my senior year and was selected to play on the Varsity Basketball team (2013-14). My coaches are Usman Jamil and Lawrence Leonard.

I'm currently enrolled at Montgomery College in Maryland for my freshman year. I plan to try out for the team in September 2014. I'm currently working out with E-Train U (Jimmy Parker) every week.
