I believe basketball has taught me many valuable life lessons, and perhaps more importantly, played a significant role in developing me into the successful student and individual I am today by growing accustomed to challenging myself and able to take lessons learned on the court into other areas of my life. I loved competing, the adrenalin of playing in a game, and the energy it allows me to extend my boundaries of discovery, especially when faced with challenges in and out of the classroom. I, simply put, loved the game. There’s this feeling I get when I’m on the court – quiet, calm, serene, refreshed. My world is small and in the now.
