I am a hard working, determined and committed student athlete. I was the first freshman in 17 years at Scarsdale High School to make the varsity basketball team. After becoming the sixth man as a freshman, I was ready to take on a more integral as a sophomore starter. I led the team in rebounds (8 per game) and was the third leading scorer (12 per game). Our team had a great run to the section finals, but lost in a thriller to a powerful North Rockland team. Even though I played the last several weeks of the season, including the playoffs, while injured, I continued to play at a high level against the toughest opponents, making sacrifices for my team so we could try to win it all. It was an incredibly successful season and we are already preparing to compete for a championship next season. On a personal level, I often played my best game against the strongest competition this past season. This included a 19 point game against St. Francis Prep who was top four in the CHSAA "AA" and a 16 point and 12 rebound game against Mount Vernon, handing them their first loss in the section in 3 years. I am focused in the off season on training to become stronger, more athletic and further developing my skills and playmaking at a higher level. I have been told that no one works harder than me. This applies to my work ethic in the classroom as well where I maintain straight A's.
