My primary collegiate goal is to graduate with an Accounting degree. This will help ensure my future success as a businessman. My secondary collegiate goal is to play basketball at the DII level. My dream in life is to play basketball at a professional level overseas and then coach basketball at the high school and ultimately at the collegiate level.
I understand that my primary responsibility is to succeed in the classroom. I am a straight A student who strives to maintain the highest GPA possible. I achieve this goal by staying out of trouble, choosing my friends wisely, communicating well with my instructors, working hard on my studies, being organized, detailed and by utilizing good time management. My secondary responsibility is to succeed on the court. I achieve this goal by eating right, getting enough sleep, working hard on my game in and out of practice, watching game film, working on my body in the weight room and being as coachable as I can be.
I truly love the game of basketball. I love the way the ball feels in my hands. I love the sound of the ball swishing thru the net, my sneakers squeaking on the court and the echo of a bouncing ball in the gym. I enjoy spending time working on my game. For continuous development I spend overtime working with my PSB coaches and PSB training staff. During my high school season my development comes from working overtime with my high school coaches and a private trainer. For fun I compete at YMCA basketball gyms in Charlotte NC, Gastonia NC and Mount Holly NC year round. My mentality is, when down 2 at the end of a game I want to be the one to take the 3 for the win.
I am projected to be 6 foot 6 or taller. I can dribble and pass extremely well for my size. I am fundamentally sound. For example, I always pass and rebound the ball with two hands. I will shoot 60% from mid range and at least 40% from 3 point range. Though I love to shoot the ball I will always pass the ball to an open teammate for a better shot.
Thank you for your time in reviewing my profile and any interest you may have in me as a player for your institution of learning.
