Cooper Carl '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Cooper - this is my summer before Senior year at Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise, Arizona.  My family moved here in February 2022 from Kirkland, Washington.  We needed to get out of the rain and into the sunshine.  We moved to a new home on a golf course and I am excited to have a great home course to work on my game.   As a Freshman, I played on my High School team and discovered my passion for golf.  It was a short season due to COVID but we made the most of it.  All of our players worked well together and we pushed eachother to perform individually.  I have been playing golf for a couple years with my dad - it is his favorite thing - and the HS team really made me more interested in getting better.   I try my best to be positive on the course and am really starting to understand the mental side of golf.  What sets me apart from other golfers is my ability to be coached.   I like having tips from my coaches and can easily make suggested tweaks to improve.   

Besides golf, I like to snowboard, mountain bike, play baseball, skateboard and scuba dive.  I also play  pickleball, tennis, basketball and any other sport that involves a ball.  My parents support all of my activities and encourage me to stay active and get involved.  I make friends easy and am always up for a new adventure.  My latest adventure a golf tournament in Scottland where I saw and played all the cool courses.  I am also heading to Bali for 3 weeks of Scuba with Broadreach. The previous summer, I went to Fiji to study sharks for three weeks.   I hope to play golf in college.
