I would be a good candidate because I am a very hard working, optimistic person who has the mental strength and talent to play at a college level. I have good etiquette and am very respectful of the courses I play and to other players. I have had a passion for the game ever since I was old enough to swing a club. My grandfather has been a big idol for me and has taught me a lot about the game throughout my life. I also played club soccer until high school, but when given the opportunity to play on a golf team, I choose golf over soccer.
Even though I have a passion for golf, school is also a top priority for me. I have always been a great academic student and have a high GPA. I am in the National Honors Society for my good academic and behavioral record. While I want to play college golf I also want to get a good education and study engineering, which is the field of work that I would possibly like to go into.
