Playing golf has been a character builder for me. After playing two sports for most of my high school career I have found out that instead of being a mediocre player for the rest of my life, I wanted more out of a sport that I had fallen in love with. Playing once in a while was not going to cut it for me at that point. I got some swing help from some coaches and got my swing overhauled and gained the consistency I needed to compete for a spot to play in the matches. I love when I get criticism about my golf game, criticism makes you a better player. When others might hate hitting the first tee shot in front of lots of people, that is where my competitive nature kicks in and makes me a better player. I am constantly learning about the game of golf, my game will never be perfect for the high standards I'm shooting for but I am going to try my hardest to make it to that standard. I plan on getting my four-year degree, no matter what my grades are the priority until I finish school. I would like for golf to be a part of my academic journey through college as well as the rest of my life.
