I first was introduced to golf by my father at a very young age. I immediately fell in the love with the sport and knew that I wanted to be the best I could possibly be. Golf has taught me important lessons about character and resilience, especially how to respond to failure. I have other major influences throughout my life such as my family, music, and my city which have all taught me the importance of accountability and working hard to achieve your goals. The biggest obstacle I've had to overcome in golf is my location. I do not live somewhere where outdoor practice is possible all year. However, I have managed to overcome this obstacle, competing with and beating athletes from warmer locations. I will continue to overcome obstacles in life and golf with a positive mindset. My goal for my high school education is to be as prepared as I can for college and graduate with a 3.5+ GPA. I have the unique skill of resilience in everything I do whether it is responding to a bad hole with great shots or taking my failures in life and turning them to success. I believe I possess the skills and character that can make a significant impact on your program.
