I am looking to work, improve and become a solid college athlete. From the beginning of high school, I knew that golf was something I wanted to do in college. I have worked hard on the golf course and also in the classroom to start my journey in making a childhood dream become a reality. My love for the game is my motivation to become the best golfer, student, and person I can be.
I started playing golf when I was 11, just casual playing once in a while with my dad. After about a year of doing that I started to really like the sport, getting my first set of fitted clubs the following spring. But before this all came to be, I was a junior coach for Lacroix Links, the course through the YMCA and The First Tee. I would learn how to be a respectful, honest, and positive golfer though the years at Lacroix. I play for the Stevens High School Raiders. Our golf team has placed 3rd in the state tournament for the past three years. I also play on the SDGA Junior Tour where we play eight tournaments throughout the summer. I have placed 5th in three tournaments in the past three years and placed 2nd in one event.
To play college golf is something I have been working towards for a long time. The thousands of hours put in on the course and on the practice green and tee. The thousands of rounds I have put in over the past five or six years, have led me to this moment, to be writing to you the coaches.
