Playing NCAA has been a dream of mine since I first learned about it. Being able to play hockey while getting a very high-level education is something that I believe would be an exceptional experience. I believe I am an excellent student-athlete candidate, not only for my exceedingly strong academics but for exceedingly high level of compete in hockey. Feedback from my coaches have always accentuated my power and abilities along the boards, my ability to make consistently strong, heads-up plays, and my coachability. I have been told that those things that I excel at in hockey are those things that cannot be taught. In my last year of full play, I was made Assistant Captain during my first year on the team, despite playing in a new centre for the first time. I have always risen to the level of my competition, whether it was being placed in hockey camps with kids 2 and 3 years older (being mistaken for my older brother) or achieving an over 97% average in Grade 11, despite taking both Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses. I welcome the opportunity to bring that work ethic to your school and to your hockey team.
