The first time I picked up a lacrosse stick I was 4 years old. At a very early age, I knew in my heart this would be the sport for me. My favorite thing about lacrosse is the fast pace of the game. Lacrosse has taught me many important lessons throughout the years. One of the most important things I have learned about myself is that no matter what the challenge is, I will always give my maximum effort. Lacrosse has also taught me the importance of teamwork and how each individual player can contribute to a winning team. On the field I have a very aggressive play style, and I am always willing to give new things a try, such as a new type of check or a new dodge. I feel learning new things on the field keeps it fresh and I am a quick learner. I am an extremely hard worker and I will do whatever it takes to be successful. At the end of last season, I was chosen by my coach for the Blue Collar Award. Receiving this award was such an honor and it has shown me that hard work does pay off. I also volunteer my time at the Plainedge Youth lacrosse clinics. I thoroughly enjoy helping the younger kids improve their skills and to help them learn the basics of teamwork.
My academic goal for High School has been to keep an average of 85 or higher. I am happy to say that I have achieved and exceeded this goal. My academic goal for college is to work hard and not only maintain my good grades, but to grow as a student and increase my GPA even further.
Looking forward to my future as a college student and the opportunity to play on a college lacrosse team!
