Nathan Edwards '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nathan Edwards, I am a junior (Class of 2023), I am a 2 sport student athlete at Syosset High School and I am a defenseman/defensive midfielder for the Syosset Braves Varsity Lacrosse Team. I aspire to play Division 1 Lacrosse for your team, and to go to an exceptional academy such as West Point that I will thrive in academically and athletically. I believe I would be an outstanding candidate for your team because of my immense love for lacrosse , I am highly athletic, I give everything maximum effort, I am flexible, I am dedicated, I am highly coachable, and I put in all the work needed to be successful, never slacking. I am a monster on the field and using my speed, endurance, and strength, I am able to lock down on my opponents, no matter who they are. I am a team player and love seeing my team better themselves and be successful in everything they do, and through getting to know my teammates I have found brothers that will always be there for each other. I would do anything for my brothers. Lacrosse is my passion, this sport is something I have invested years into, and throughout that time I have fallen more and more in love with the game. I constantly strive to better my abilities so that I can always have that upper edge over the competition. With regards to character both as an athlete and a person, I am a leader on and off the field. Every summer since 5th grade I have gone away and spent my entire summer abroad helping people. Helping people is one of my passions because I do believe in giving back what I have been blessed with. Those experiences definitely have strengthened my character and have therefore put me above the rest of the competition in that respect. I have outstanding grades with nearly straight A's and I look to pursue a career in Kinesiology. I plan to go through ARMY ROTC  because I believe that the strength in my character can be put to good use while serving my country.
