Eliott Detroyat '23 Recruiting Profile

Nothing was made easy so far but I am not the kind to give up… I moved and lived in different countries and continents which, on top of speaking 4 languages, undoubtedly enriched my soccer skills. I have the French vision of the game, learnt the technical Portuguese way of playing and built a stronger fitness in Canada. But this is not the end, not even the beginning of the end… may be just the end of the beginning!

I have understood long ago that talent is not enough, hard work and dedication are not an option to always improve. I want to become stronger and stronger, I go to the gym at 5:30am before school and never miss a training session at night.

Education was always placed first, which is why my parents turned down academy offers from pro teams in France, and I now aim at playing soccer at college level.

I am a driven and inspired player, servicing my team to enlight the game but also taking responsibility on the field. Most of all I hate losing, even “with the manner”!

I am respectful of my coaches, team mates and opponents. I follow instructions, I understand strategies… but still adding a little touch of personal freestyle.
