Going into high school a couple goals I had for myself was to get good grades each quarter all throughout high school and eventually make it onto the varsity team. When I was a freshman I tried out for freshman soccer, two days into tryouts they wanted me to play JV so the next day I went to their tryouts and made JV. Come sophomore year I tried out for varsity and ended up making varsity and now as a junior I remain on the varsity level for soccer. I am a senior now and have the opportunity to lead my team as a captain and show underclassmen what good sportsmanship looks like. At the end of the first quarter of my junior year I finished with a 95.80 GPA and I am very proud of that because this is the first time I have received first honors. Personally I know that I am a very determined person academically in the classroom and on the field as well. NSHSS member.
