Daniel Excell '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Daniel Excell. Soccer means a lot to me. It is my motivation to strive for success in the sport and other aspects of life and school. Moving on, I am working to play at the most competitive level I can reach in college soccer. One thing about me is I hate losing, and I will do whatever must be done to secure the wins. That being said I am not the most technically sound player on the field, however I do not stop working to get things done on the field. My strength is my tactical awareness. I play as a defensive mid or attacking mid most of the time, so I look for opportunities to switch the ball to the sides of the field. Additionally I hold the confidence to take on 1v1s when given to me and beat the defender. I play mostly a possessive game with my team so I look to keep the ball and work our way up the field. Finally not only do I work to get the job done on the field, but also in the classroom. I have exceptional grades in my classes finishing with A's and B's.
