For as long as I can remember sports has been a big part of my life. I play all sports whenever I can, but enjoy playing softball the most. It has been a love of mine that has grown each year since I started playing in fifth grade. All summer instead of family vacations we pack up each weekend and travel to a softball or baseball field. It has always been a life long dream of mine to play softball in college. Since 8th grade I have been the starting shortstop and team leader in batting average on my class A high school softball team. I have played travel softball for the last three years where I primarily play shortstop, but have had the opportunity to play second base and center field as well. For me softball is much more than stats and wins. It's about the travel, the workouts, the competition, the perfect swing, but mostly the friendships I have made along the way with my teammates and coaches. I have decided to choose a degree that would allow me to be around children. I am interest in persuing a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree and continuing on to persue a Physician Assistant degree. I would love to someday specialize in pediatrics. Choosing a career path was very difficult and I am very exciting to start my education toward this path and hopefully having softball as a part of my college experience.
