I began to play soccer at a very early age in the front yard of my house. Ever since then I have loved this sport more than any other sport, activity, or group. I love the opportunity to play and the time spent playing. I hope to extend my time playing this sport in college, and would be ecstatic to be able to because of how big an opportunity and life-changer it is.
My actual commitment to the game began in 7th and 8th grade starting games as right-midfielder. I commanded my team on and off the pitch with leadership and play. I played in the junior varsity squad until 11th grade winning conference from 8th until 10th grade year. I started my 11th grade soccer year starting at right-midfield again until my talents were better suited at left fullback. My control of the defense and the opposing attack better suited me, while this became my new position. I soon was switched to center-back, because of my aggression and control over the defense.
I continue to play and control this position into my senior year. I strive to improve my play on the field and off, which has led to the introduction of co-captain of the team. I practice every day to become better, which is the same off the field. I take all my classes seriously and want to be the best student-athlete.
