Caroline Merritt '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi. My name is Caroline Merritt. I play for my high school volleyball team at Kerr Vance Academy as well as Carolina Power Volleyball Club.  I play as an outside hitter or middle hitter, for both club and high school.   Throughout my volleyball experience, I have always enjoyed hitting and learning how to become better and grow as a player.  Although my main positions remain on the front row, I, as a player have grown in defense playing in both middle and left back in school and club.  My defense and offense skills are growing after every game and practice.  I enjoy my teammates and I am always up for cheering and having a good time on the court.  In my years of being a student athlete I have had to focus on my balance of academics and athletics, while not only do I play volleyball, but also participate on my high school's swim and soccer teams.  Finding a balance to be on the court and getting all school work done is something that takes a lot of focus, but I am fully capable of.  My love for volleyball is something that grows everyday, whether I am watching or playing, and I hope to carry out the joy it brings me, while playing in college.
