My name is Scion Rajaram, and I am a 17 year old Junior at Lathrop High School, Fairbanks, Alaska. I started swimming just over 2 years ago and have improved my speed and technique drastically. At my first swim meet, my 50 meter and 100 meter, times were 37 sec and 1: 30 sec respectively. Due to my improvement in such a short amount of time, I know that I have the ability to continue improving my speed and be a competitive swimmer in the future. I have a passion for swimming and enjoy being a team member on my swim team. I am known to motivate other swimmers, even on other swim teams, to decrease their anxiety before swimming with stretching and motivational words. Due to my passion in swimming, other sports and my love for higher education my goal is to obtain a career in sports medicine.
