I am one of four brothers and we are a competitive family in sport and academics. I started swimming in Kelowna, British Columbia and then joined the University of Calgary swim club at age 5. Our father immigrated to Canada from Africa when he was young and has shown our family the true meaning of hard work and determination. He is a successful business owner and has taught us all about respect, always giving it your best and listen and learn at every opportunity. I have played competitive football (quarterback) and golf but swimming has always been my domain. My dream is to swim for a division I NCAA team. I continue to learn each day and enjoy pushing my limits to achieve new goals. The pool has become my specialty and I enjoy cheering my teammates on but also being a leader in and out of the pool. I have worked hard during the covid pandemic with pool closures, non-sanctioned meets in Canada and zoom workouts to achieve the official times that I swam recently. I welcome new challenges and opportunities to perform better and be the best I can be at all times.
