I've been swimming for roughly 5 years, and I've truly developed a love for this sport. Although there have been negatives such as covid preventing me from swimming for roughly a year I have still improved drastically and continue to do so. My first varsity season swimming for a high school team as a sophomore I was fortunate enough to break two school records for two different relays, that year I also made the Mohawk Valley All Star Team. My next season I transferred to a new high school, with my new varsity team, we beat a pool record in an away meet, throughout the season I have dropped time and I even managed to get relay state cuts. By sectionals I dropped 8 seconds in the 200 freestyle and finished at a time of 1:48.18 when states are 1:47.60, I also managed to drop a little over 3 seconds in the 100 freestyle which put me at a 49.15 when states are 48.76. Going to states for two relays is incredible and I am so grateful to be so fortunate, although I really wanted to make it individually this only motivates me and pushes me to do better than I already have. My goal is to continue with this sport and make it into a reputable college with a great team, I am kind to all people, hardworking, diligent, and overall, a great teammate, I push other teammates throughout the sets and include everybody no matter what.
