I have been actively participating in my year round swim team for 8 years. I have progressed and feel the sport has given me a good foundation of time management and discipline. I am also an active member of my high school's swim team, winning the Rookie of the Year Award my freshmen year. The following year I was the highest point scorer for my team that year.
While swimming and practicing an average of 18 hours a week, I have maintained a 3.8 GPA, been an active member of my church youth group and my Boy Scout Troop. In my scout troop, I have held the leadership positions of Scribe, Patrol Leader, Asst. Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. As Senior Patrol Leader, I led my Troop to top honors at the spring Camporee, earning two Blue Ribbons and Top patrol for both of my patrols. I currently hold the position of Troop Guide and serve as an educator for the newest scouts of the troop. I am a member of the National Honor Society.
I am seeking to continue swimming at a college level, while pursuing a degree in Marine Engineering.
