I constantly feel like I have something to prove, especially coming from Fairbanks, Alaska where everyone would consider us "soft" or "non-aggressive". I also feel as if we are looked over, talent wise, and it gives me and other outstanding athletes here a great work ethic. I know for a fact that my freshman and sophomore year for grades could've been so much better but I didn't understand the whole concept of time management or checks & balances. Me growing up with both of my parents, family and church family, I was and still am learning and being mentored in the right direction. My parents always tell me “integrity will take you a long way so be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, with the right attitude.” I know and understand now what is important to me and what I need to do to reach my goals. My goals are to get to and through college. I also have goals to stay true to myself, never forgetting who I am and where I came from. My morals are important to me and I know to never stop working towards my school works and athletic works.
