My name is Sal Migliore, I have been running since I was in 7th grade when a friend talked me into joining the Cross Country team and I just completely fell in love with the sport. I started with Cross Country only but was asked to join the varsity track team in 8th grade. That completely changed my life and it exposed me early on to some amazing, hardworking coaches and teammates who have helped get me to where I am right now. Running at the collegiate level has been a goal of mine ever since then.
I am a very versatile athlete who will put my heart and soul into any event my coach puts me in from the 400 up to the mile. I have been mainly working on my shorter races as of late however and would call myself a 400-800 meter athlete going into this year. I put everything I have into each workout and will fight tooth and nail, day in and day out to push myself and my teammates past the limit.
I am currently taking AP Language and Composition and AP United States History and am maintaining above a 90 average in both courses. I make sure to work just as hard in the classroom as on the track to maintain a high GPA.
I would love to go to a college where I can build a bond with the other team members. Track is a mentally taxing sport, and the ability to form a brotherhood with your teammates feels incredible. No matter what school I choose, it will be the one I know will push me not only to be a better runner but will teach me life skills I will remember for a lifetime.
