Hello, My name is Kailer Morival and this is my introduction! I am 16 yrs old and now a junior at Deer Park HS, Situated In New York (Home of The Falcons). My experience with track although short has been very memorable, as my first ever season was my sophomore year as track piqued my interest but in that amount of time I have accomplished things later on that build me into the person I am today as I approach my second year. I have made myself in that short amount of time an asset to my team and will continue to do so. As a sophomore I was and still am the fastest, my times have continued to drop with ever meet/event and/or invitational. I realized my potential not from just other people telling me but by being able to continue to challenge and beat myself through those countless times I ran, that's when my interest became an obsession. As I am no foreigner to competition and wanting to win, through my time when I was a WR/LB in football and at the 150lbs weight class for wrestling competitiveness was at an all-time high and losing was not an option but my first time in a race to the many times after no other form of competition has ever touched me the way it has as with wrestling it's just you on that mat against others for just like me the feeling was so new I was taken over me into wanting to be more better, like no matter where I placed or what time I got I was competing with my self and becoming just that much better. Wanting to become better motivated me and with that, I became an all-league Sprinter and a scholar-athlete.
My academic goals in high schools are to have taken all the classes that challenge me and make me work harder, and to use high schools to set me up for college in which I would want to major in biology and to minor in history so I can maybe be a microbiologist and/or a town historian. education is very important not only to me but my family as I later want to become a role model for them in knowing anything is possible through education, I am many ap classes I take and have a GPA of 91.0. Outside of academics on of my greatest goals is to provide for my family and be an example for during 2010 my mother and moved here from Haiti after that earthquake devastated our neighborhoods and home moving here we had really nothing, I want myself to be an example on how your hard work pays off I do it for the people close to me not only to represent them and inspire them as a first-generation Haitian-American but our community as well.
although I haven't been doing track and field as long as others have experience in competition and that mentality from sports like football and wrestling. in which I even played varsity for(wrestling) but that doesn't mean I won't strife to be the best at what I do, I'll continue to progress further and further for many things push me to do so.
