The progression of my athletics is something I hold to a very high standard for myself, as well as my education. I want to compete, I am a competitor. I live for the clutch moments of an important meet. This spring I was in fourth place going into my final throw in the county championships for discus. I told myself that this was it and I had just one chance to prove to myself that I was capable of doing it. I got in the circle and a had a ten foot improvement to jump from fourth place to second place and won all county honors. In the end, I live to compete and adapt to my environments very well and that is what I think makes me stand out.
