Throughout my life, sports have been a constant for me. I enjoy working as part of a team, and I'm motivated by competition.I played 6 years of travel soccer, and I'm in the the 12th year of recreational baseball. But, I enjoy volleyball more than all other sports. I've entered the college recruitment process, because I'm striving to reach higher levels of competition within the sport.
I started playing volleyball in 7th grade, but due to COVID, the season was cut short. During the pandemic, I played on grass everyday for months with more experienced players; this bettered my play quickly. At 13, I started playing playing club for NYCVBA on their 16U team. I continue to play above my age group, in order to push myself.
Through my life of sport, I learned that I can be independent, and a leader. In volleyball, my keen observational skills add to my play, both on and off the court. I know I'll enjoy playing volleyball in college, and the opportunity would connect me to others striving for better competition.
