I am very passionate about water polo and am working hard to prepare myself to play in college! I push myself in and out of the pool to be the best leader possible, and to always encourage my teammates to be the best versions of themselves. My work ethic, determination, and eagerness to learn from mentors, coaches, and teammates have helped me grow as a player and person. My goal is to play goalie at a high level and at a great school.
Formerly a football player, I never thought of playing anything else in college. However, my friends convinced me to try water polo during the offseason of my sophomore year, and I have been training extremely hard ever since. I have attended numerous camps and clinics, all of which are listed in my profile. I intend to continue training throughout the summer and next year so that I am ready to play goalie at the college level.
I also take my studies very seriously because my goal is to become an environmental lawyer and work to improve the climate. My unweighted grade point average has been improving and is currently at 3.58. I am also a part of the Giants Leaders club at my high school and have been recognized for my hard work and determination throughout the years.
I look forward to talking with coaches about opportunities to study and play at their colleges. Thanks for looking at this personal statement and I hope to hear from you soon!
