Ever since the age of 10, when I first started playing softball, I knew that it was the game I wanted to play for the rest of my life. When I first started watching college softball games I realized I had fell in love with the idea of playing softball at the collegiate level. Along with playing softball in college I also aspire to go to a college that will offer a great yet somewhat challenging academic program. Currently I am the Captain of my high school and USSSA tournament team. When I'm on the field I always give a 110%. effort physically and mentally. Along with working on my own game and putting in hours of practice I also enjoy picking up others on my team when they maybe struggling. I have learned from the game of softball that it is very important to feed off of each other as a team and make good connections, which is why I like to take charge as leader to make sure that everyone feels welcome. Over the years I have found that what sets me apart from my teammates and other players is my work ethic and the amount of time I put into the game. Often times my teammates will find me taking BP after a game even if I had an amazing game. The reason I do this is to improve my game and because sometimes when the game is over I don't want it to end so I will go home and continue to play even if it is by myself. As a character I find myself to be very kind and enthusiastic. Many times people will say to me you smile all the time, the reason for that being that I like to see others smile. I thrive off of seeing others succeed which in the long run helps me accomplish my goals because it motivates me to be a better person. As far as academics I love a good challenge. In the past couple of years I have taken many honors classes. In fact ever since the 7th grade I have been on my schools honor roll. I look forward to more academic challenges and successes in the next few years. I hope to continue my academic and athletic years at a college that will provide me with the best opportunities but most importantly teach me more about myself and how strong I can truly be.
