I remember joining my first soccer team at age six. The excitement I felt hearing the cheering fans and the adrenaline rush I got with every goal was thrilling. That is when I fell in love with soccer and knew then I wanted to play at the college level.
I know what it means to be a team player and to encourage and support my fellow team members. I am humbled to have served as Captain of the Girl’s Eastchester Varsity Soccer Team this year. It was a privilege to lead the team, to learn each other's strengths and weaknesses and use this knowledge to collectively better the team.
I take my responsibilities seriously and always give my 100%. My dedication extends beyond the field and into the classroom where my hard work has earned me a 4.0 GPA.
Soccer has taught me many invaluable lessons from work ethic to a sense of community. Having the opportunity to volunteer my time to the Challenger program and teach children with special needs how to play a sport I love was beyond gratifying. Having a brother with autism I know the importance of sport and such programs. I am grateful to have been able to give back to the community and hope to find a college that would allow me to continue my community service.
I look forward in finding a college that is my perfect match. One in which I could pursue my engineering career while representing the school playing for their Women’s soccer team.
