My goals for my college career is to carry on with the sport I love the most, while studying to earn my bachelor’s degree. I think I am a good candidate for college softball teams because I am an energetic person who will constantly strive to do better. I make efforts to improve on my skills and I do my best to lead my teammates on and off the field. What I think makes me different from other candidates is that I put in a lot of time and effort to get better. I practice for an hour and a half each day on my own when I do not practice. When I meet with my personal coach, I continuously work on drills which will enable me to be a better player. I have been catching for 5 years and I can make straight throws to second base from my knees. I have thrown out multiple girls at every base throughout my career as a catcher. I can also play anywhere on the field and do my best at each position. I field right but I am a switch hitter as well, and I can slap and drag bunt lefty. I am good at slash bunting and I know how to hit sacrifice flies. I am maintaining a B+ average and I am in several extracurricular clubs. I help my community with saving the earth by participating in events like Walk for Water and cleaning up the Hudson River. I also have two part time jobs as a restaurant hostess and a photographer’s assistant. I am a friendly person who isn’t afraid to try new things, and I consider myself a leader to my teammates. I try to help them the best I can and I constantly give them advice. I call timeout in the middle of the inning to go out and talk to my pitcher when she’s struggling and I also call in my defense to help them during the inning.
