Brenna Mulvaney '22 Recruiting Profile

When it comes to softball, I have always been a team player. Whenever I make a choice or decision in a game or practice, I decide based on what is best for the team.  My motivation and determination are always for my love of the game and the feeling I get when I am on the softball field. When I step onto the field, it is like night and day; everything changes and the only thing that matters is playing the game to the best of the ability of my team and I. Pushing each other to be better and picking each other up when we need it is so important for a true team dynamic. Even though I have never been designated an “official” captain, the girls on my team gravitate towards me on the field during drills and in the dugout , directing questions to me if they are unsure.  Being one of the older or more experienced players on my team, allows me to connect with the younger players. I am a player who is willing to learn from coaches or even other players and try new things in an effort to better myself.  I always strive to make myself the best I can be and always push my limits because I know what I am capable of and want to always better myself for the game I love. My commitment and love of the game has always come before any other feelings I may have and as soon as I am practicing, watching film, playing or even watching a game I know then that there is no place I'd rather be.
