Leah Croom '24 Recruiting Profile

I hope to grow and improve in every way I can in each aspect of my life as my desire to improve motivates me. I hope to beneficially impact my environment, academically, socially, and athletically through my intense energy, positive mindset, and my desire to constantly improve. In my college career I would love to continue and help build a strong and unique program, and even win some championships. 

I am different from other recruits because I work well under healthy pressure, when I am motivated and truly want something it’s very hard to tell me no.  I am a team player and value my teammates’ and program’s success as much as my own which is evident in my gameplay and attitude. I am stubborn, confident, attentive and an active listener. I am usually a fast learner, but if I don’t get a concept right away I ask questions to understand and work hard to learn it. I am a people person and I value communication so much, which allows me to make plays, solve problems and reach goals for myself and my teammates. As a point guard and multi-sport athlete I can see lanes and passes that not all players can see. Through my athletic career I’ve had multiple injuries, and each time I come back even stronger, using this as a motivation to be better. My grades are good, but as with anything there is always room for improvement. My whole life basketball has been an outlet for me and it’s truly something I love to do, and continuing it in college has always been a goal of mine.
