Personal Statement

As a scholar athlete, academics and athletics are equally important to me.  At a very young age, I found a passion for basketball and have remained committed to improving my skills.  I strive to achieve the best academic and athletic combination possible.  I am in pursuit of a scholarship opportunity and will give four years of hard work and dedication to my studies, coaches, and teammates.  I want to contribute and compete at the highest level possible with teammates who share the same goals and aspirations.

I have played for competitive AAU teams since the fourth grade. For the last three years I have been playing on two different AAU teams, Catskill Mountain and the Utica Lady Knicks. I love being part of a team and continuing to build my skills. I feel that I am a hard worker, play my heart out in every game and always try to do what is best for my team. I have played on the Catskill Mountain 11th grade team for three years as both point guard and shooting guard. Likewise, I play these positions for the Utica Lady Knicks. I believe that my ball handling skills allow me to play with my head up and see the court better than most, even under pressure. When play gets out of order or the intensity increases, my teammates have confidence in me and rely on me to restore order, reorganize, and make our plays effective.  Seeing the game very well and being solid with the ball, I feel that I make my team better and stronger.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
