I believe the one thing that sets me apart and has allowed me to succeed in both sports and life is that I am not afraid to fail. In the beginning of my freshmen year basketball season, I was stuck because I was so afraid to fail, afraid of disappointing my coaches and fellow athletes. The following year I began to work with an AAU coach who taught me that I have nothing to lose and that failing was just part of the process to success. During that year, I took big risks, failed often, and as a result I made the biggest gains in my basketball career. I learned that the biggest risk is not taking any risks. I am ready to take yet another challenge and step into college basketball.
