While in High School, I have worked very hard balancing academics and athletics, and will graduate with an associates degree at the same time, that I am getting my High school diploma, all while maintaining a 4.3 GPA. While in college, I hope to earn a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice/Law. Since I was a little girl, all I wanted to be in law enforcement.
Basketball and softball are my passions. I have played since I was 6 years old. I'm 6'3", so I mainly play as a center, but every now and then, I get to play as a forward. I recently scored my 1,000th point, during my high school career, as a junior! For me, this was a HUGE accomplishment. But I would not have never gotten there if it wasn't for my team mates that assisted me, and my parents for believing in and pushing me. We are a small community, but we are a tight one, we have a lot of fans that support us, and several younger kids, who look up to me and my team! We have had 3 different basketball coaches, during our high school career, but we have not let that change our focus, on getting to our goals.
As a freshman, I was awarded the HDHS Eagle AWARD. This is a top award, for being an all around great athlete and student, both on and off the court. Also, as a freshman and sophomore, I was named honorable mention for the Smoky Mtn Conference player of the year, and during my junior year, I was named Smoky Mtn Conference player of the year in basketball and softball, and Little Smoky Mtn Conference offensive player of the year. I received have received several all tournament awards for conduct and sportsmanship.
I was recently named, Miss Hiwassee Dam High School, this is an award that is voted on my the faculty and staff at our high school, that focuses on character, attitude, and morals, both on and off the court. I have also, been inducted into the National Honor Society.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I look forward to talking with you soon.
