Laney Wessels '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Laney Wessels and I am a junior at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Kernersville, North Carolina. I will be graduating in May of 2021. I am a 5’10 left-handed golfer that has been playing golf since the age of two and have been extremely dedicated ever since. It has been my dream and passion to play women’s golf in college and give it my all. My goal is aiming to leverage my grades, personality, character, communication skills, and enthusiasm to land a position on your golf team. I am guaranteed to contribute strongly to your team with a driven achiever with a history of strong contributions in volunteer positions. I believe that having a great bond with the coach and team will bring victories on the course as well as in successful friendships. With the golf skills, along with achievements in the community, I am able to apply lessons learned as a student-athlete to motivate and support team members. I uphold fast-learning abilities, commitment to success and passion for the game of golf. I am looking for a college coach who can not only help me improve on my game but as a person too. It is extremely critical to have a coach who will be there for you through the ups and downs of golf. Furthermore, another goal would be to someday play on the LPGA Tour after college. I am very interested in finding out about any recruiting opportunities as well as any athletic scholarships offered that may be available with your golf program.
