Madison Cain '26 Recruiting Profile

     Hi, my name is Madison Cain, I am a 2026 center. I started playing hockey when I was 7 years old. I began with a Dippin Dots summer league and also played with the West Seneca House program for 3 years. I then transitioned from house to travel in 2018 and played with an all girls Southtowns Stars 10u travel team. Starting when I was 11, I played with both the all girls Southtowns travel team and with a mixed Southtowns MOHL team and continued playing with both teams for 3 years. In 2022 I played with my schools modified boys hockey team as one of the only 3 girls. I now play on the Cazenovia Chiefs all girls 16u team. I also played my first year on the high school girls varsity team this year. Playing with multiple different organizations has helped me to learn from a variety of coaches and take the skills and lessons I have learned into my play on the ice. I'm a multiple sport athlete that works on and plays hockey year round. Throughout my school years I have still made time for my schoolwork, helping to make me be a well-rounded individual. 

     I have done many skills clinics over the years to help strengthen the different skills necessary to become a well rounded hockey player. The clinics improved my skating skills for me to be able to help out in the defensive zone and transition quickly to be offensive. I have a strong hockey IQ that helps me to read the play to be in the correct spot. My coaches have said I have a strong physical play which helps me with battle in corners for the puck, and taking face offs. I put forth my most effort in games and practices and strive to be the best I can be. I am a hard worker on and off the ice, never giving up.
