As a young athlete, I really didn’t understand the concept of playing lacrosse. I started learning stick skills and fundamentals on a small co-ed team as a four year old. This experience as a youngster really helped mold me into the player I am today. My parents and oldest brother really influenced my decision to continue playing in our local recreation league, Lake Norman United, from the co-ed team all the way through middle school.
In the 7th grade we made the decision to tryout for a club team in Charlotte called Charlotte Style. This was a huge commitment! I was offered a position as starting goalie on an 8th grade team and started my travel team career as a 7th grader. I was honored and humbled to be given a spot on an older team and knew I had my work cut out for me! I was super excited about playing with the older girls and getting better as a goalie!
This year, 2021, will be my fourth year playing for Charlotte Style. I’m also beginning my journey as a junior at a new school, Davidson Day, after playing varsity lacrosse at Lake Norman High School my freshman and sophomore years.
As a student athlete I aspire to be an A/B student. I'm looking for that special college or university that makes me excited to learn and a place where I fit in with like minded students and other athletes.
