Hello!! I am Anna Woodside I am a Junior on the Varsity Port Rowing Women's Team.
I first joined the crew 2 and a half years ago looking for a new sport during quarantine. Ever since I joined I fell in love with rowing right away! Every day since joining the team, I have been competitive with my teammates, pushing myself to new limits while also bringing my teammates to new heights. I never give up on any situation I am put in. I am constantly trying to improve my technique and power in the boat.
Rowing has a great impact on my life, with seeking excellence, I also seek this in a classroom setting by taking many different AP, and Honors Classes and being part of three Honors Societies. In addition, I volunteer on my free time at a program that helps kids with special needs and teaches them how to row.
I am beyond grateful to be part of this rowing team and look forward to continuing my goals in college, with a team that will support me in reaching new heights.
