One of my main goals in life is to row at the collegiate level. Getting a wonderful education and being able to do the sport I love is a dream of mine. I started rowing in 2016, I automatically fell in love with the sport. The camaraderie and passion in rowing was unlike any other sport I had ever been a part of. That year I won the state championship in the middle school eight. Throughout my middle school years, I won another state championship in the middle school eight. My middle school rowing career taught me where hard work and dedication could take me. My freshmen year in rowing, I started off with completing the William and Mary Advanced Rowing Camp. I loved being able to row with new people and getting a new perspective on the sport of rowing. My freshmen year, I won gold in the U17 eight in the State Championship in six seat. My sophomore year I attended the Duke High Performance Rowing Camp. I loved being in the competitive environment and being able to learn and grow from rowers all over the world. My fall season I won gold in the mixed youth eight in six seat at the Head of the South. I want to be a part of a competitive, close knitted team and have the opportunity to further my education at a wonderful university.
I attend Wesleyan Christian Academy as a member of the Beta club and have been on the honor roll throughout high school. Education is very important to me as my aspirations do not stop in the sport of rowing. Others often describe me as hard working, determined and usually very humorous. In my free time I love to explore new places and meet new people. In high school, I have learned how to balance a demanding sport and education at a top ranked college preparatory high school. I look forward to my college career and furthering my athleticism and education.
