My name is Raeshalyn Respicio. I grew up with 2 brothers and 1 sister in a house of 6. I couldn’t have become the person I am today without my two caring and loving parents who have my back throughout my whole life. My freshman year was very memorable to me because it was a great experience. I wasn’t a starter but I had a lot of playing time as a freshman in high school. I’ve scored 10 goals throughout the season. We won BIFF's and went up to states in Oʻahu. We won all our games at states up until the championship game. We may have come out short but it gave us a goal to achieve by senior year.
I started playing soccer at the age of 4. As I grew up playing the sport, I developed interest which became a big part of my life. As I played throughout my life, I got to experience new things and travel. Playing soccer helped me learn that it’s a team sport. Soccer helped me collaborate and communicate with the new people I meet everyday. My academic goals for high school is to pass all my classes and strive for A’s. In college I want to strive for good grades and major in pre-pharmacy.Throughout my life I had many injuries. I row my ankle a lot when I play but I’m usually okay the next day. One of the injuries that became a big obstacle to me was breaking my collarbone. When I broke my collarbone, the soccer season for club just started. I didn’t play for the rest of the season and two seasons after that. I got back into soccer my sophomore year but I was very rusty. As I played my sophomore year I got back into better shape. As an individual I believe that I persevere a lot. Even with obstacles in my life I find a way to overcome them and achieve my goals.
