Kennedy Holgate '21 Recruiting Profile

My personal experience with soccer has been exceptional. I started out as a small girl with the passion of playing and having fun. As I grew up, I worked my way to the top team in my hometown club. I played multiple seasons with a great coach, but not a huge range of competition. My family and I realized it was time to make a decision on whether to stay there, or move to a club where I could grow and become a great player. 

Last year, I played for Carolina Elite Soccer Academy in Greer, South Carolina. It made me such a better player with faster paced play and terrific coaches who made me perform at that high level.  Every season, whether that be club or high school, comes with more desire each year. I find that pushing myself not only makes me feel better about myself as a person, but makes me physically and mentally tougher as a player. I hope to continue pushing myself to higher levels to eventually find a college that fits best for me.
