Jacqui Fleischman '22 Recruiting Profile

I started playing tennis at the age of fourteen. When I first started playing it was just for fun, but once I got to high school level I realized I wanted to play tennis in college. I have a passion for tennis more than I have for any other sport I have played. I know balancing my academics and athletics can be tough at a collegiate level, but I feel ready to pursue that challenge.

On the court I try and work my hardest to become that best I can be. On my team, I'm known to be a strategist and observe how my opponent plays so that I am prepared once I am on the court against them. I have a one-handed back hand that I very comfortable hitting with and have control ofis one of the strongest points of my game. My serve has power and control to it.   Up at the net, I place myself so I can angle the ball with effectiveness , whether it be a soft or hard volley.  I'm a very good teammate.  I enjoy encouraging and communicating on and off the court for better success.  I'm hardworking and have been told very coach-able.

In the classroom, I have good grades and holding above a 90 GPA. I also go to a vocational school and study auto body, which gives me the diversity in studies that your average student might not have.  After school, I used to go to my local intermediate school and assist as a teacher's aid.  I helped the teacher's and students by reading to the class, helping with homework and classwork. The students would be filled with joy when I would come in and help, unfortunately, because of the corona virus that had to stop. 

I want to go to a college where I can push myself physically, mentally, and academically.  I am open to anything at the moment and ultimately want to find the school that will be a perfect fit... for me and the team.
