Shakima Hotaki '21 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was six years old I have had the dream of becoming a professional tennis player. Probably living so close to the US Open site has helped develop that dream. I have been blessed with good coaching at the USTA National Tennis Center and also working with my dad who is my personal coach. I have loved my experiences in competitive tennis so far, the new friends I have been able to make and the new places I have been able to visit, while having the challenge of working to improve my game in Sectional, National and ITF Events has been a very important part of my life. It is a major goal of mine to contribute as a singles and doubles player, a coachable athlete, a supportive teammate and a successful student at a US college.
